“Made in the U.S.A.” means different things to different people. Here is what it means to us.

It mean 100% manufactured in the United States of American by American craftsmen. It means the best quality your money can buy. It means guaranteed satisfaction. The only products we will sell that are not “made in the U.S.A.” are products that are not available in the U.S.A. There are two products we sell that fit that category, Carbide Tipped Metric Boring Bits made in Canada and Forstner Bits made in Austria. Forstner bits are manufactured in the U.S.A. by a company called Connecticut Valley Manufacturing but they have a limited number of sizes available and no metric sizes.

Many people in this country do not pay enough attention to the origins of the products they buy. Unless a relative, friend or neighbor is being put out of work because American citizens are buying imported products instead of American made, they don’t really care. Many of the imported, less expensive products come from countries where the manufactures pay very little for labor, sometime even child labor. By buying their products we are supporting those practices.

We hope after September 11th that more people realize that we are all neighbors and all responsible for each other’s welfare.
